The Chosen One, R2 Is

Two days out from Unseen Queen (and there’s a nice summary in our forums if that’s your thing) and two days out from a fun upcoming project (more on that later), here’s another editorial from Ceiran Harmony.

The Chosen One, R2 Is

Author’s Note: “a little funny editorial/story that rose in my head after debating on theforce.net’s boards about R2D2 and the Chosen One.”

He serves The Maker. Of course R2 is the Chosen One.

Out of all droids, R2 traveled to the Gold One, the Ewok prophecies have told of. Though he was still naked, R2 saw his greatness. The work of the Maker he recognized. Meeting the Maker, R2 was chosen to be remade, improved with godly droid powers by their Lord. And at the side of the Makers sent prophet, The Golden One, he shall journey to every droid in the galaxy to fulfill the will of the Maker.

Those heretics who broke away to bring war upon the galaxy, R2 along his friends fought back. Those ugly battle droids were defeated by the Makers hand in a holy war of machines. But war didn’t end with that, for the flesh and blood people refused to give up, refused to stop using machines like slaves.

R2 was chosen by the maker and the will of the force to help the Maker on his rise to bring peace and justice to the galaxy. While the Golden One spoke the words, the Blue droid carried the secrets and the Makers might within its shell. Because of mankind didn’t stop the warfare when the droids were shut down by the Maker’s Hand on Mustafar, a sad time began.

The Maker didn’t want to belong to the flesh and blood people anymore, so he chose to become more machine than man, like he did. A cult arose, of man ready to worship and become machines. Stormtroopers were they called, resembling mere machines more than man, acting like droids on the makers command.

And while the Golden One wasn’t anymore with the Maker, he was cast out into the lands of the heretics, to join the rebels, and bring them the word of the Lord maker. At his side was his protector and guide, the wise little R2. Their holy mission was to bring peace and justice, and to lead the heretic rebels back into the realms of the Makers promised Holy Land in peace.

A great droid rebellion was forged, and more and more droids gained independence. More and more man fought for droid rights. But still there were some who didn’t stop, didn’t listen. And so…the final stage of the Makers plan had been set. The Golden One and the Blue One continued their journey through the lands of the heresy. The galaxy was at peace once more when the Maker himself opened his droid shell and returned to the Force at Endor. But his prophets, blue and gold, continue to keep his wisdom alive. Slowly the galaxy rested, minor skirmishes and wars were brought to an end and many years later, a final test should come to the Galaxy.

A culture so alien, so droid hating will come, and test your faith and morals, of man and droids alike. Only those who have learned, shall pass, into the lands of faith and peace, and eternal harmony of man and machine.

This is the tale of The Golden and the Blue One, the Makers Prophets in a heretic land.

This is the prophecy of the Chosen One.. He shall come and bring balance to the force… the force of Man and Machines alike. Skippy the wise was a silent but important prophet, a helping hand to R2, as was R4 before.

And in the time of greatest despair,
there shall come a savior,
and he shall be known, as the Son of the Suns.

The Golden One was born… reborn on Tatooine under the Twin Suns by the Makers Hand. The Blue One became this prophet’s guide through the lands of heresy, and his protector and trusted friend. Many others crossed their paths, assisted them on their holy quest.

This union is harmony.
One of the Makers Hand,
one of the heretics land,
both shall journey, fight and win.
Oh Holy Force,
let them save our skin.

AMEN
