This Week In Star Wars (7/20 Edition)

The San Diego ComicCon is this week!!  Get all the info your heart can desire on what’s going to happen in that far away galaxy!!  But fear not if you can’t make it G4 will be broadcasting a special live Star Wars panel!!  Still bummed that you can’t go?  Well at least we get a free eBook this week to tide us over.  After the break get the full scoop on SDCC as well as John Jackson Miller’s newest Lost Tribe of the Sith story.

Star Wars Day at the Con!!

Hands-On with Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes and LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Original Adventures!!  ALL DAY EVERY DAY!!  Key members of the development team will be on-hand to answer questions, be interviewed, and walk you through the games!
 
7 - 9 AM: The Official Star Wars Fan Club Breakfast (The Seaview Room, Marriott Hotel & Marina; FAN CLUB MEMBERS ONLY)
The breakfast, for fan club members, will be hosted again by Mary Franklin, Lucasfilm events manager and Bantha Tracks editor, will include remarks and Q&A with Dave Filoni, the supervising director of The Clone Wars; Steve Sansweet, LFL head of fan relations; and Derryl DePriest, Hasbro Star Wars marketing manager.  You can also meet and get an autograph fro the talented voice actor James Arnold Taylor (the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: The Clone Wars).  Attendees will also get to see a presentation of Uncle Milton’s new Force Trainer!!

9:45 - 10:45 am Signing: Star Wars: The Essential Atlas (Del Rey Booth in Star Wars Pavilion; booth 2913D)  Authors Jason Fry and Dan Wallace along with illustrators Chris Trevas and Chris Reiff. Free copy of the book available for the first 50 people in line.

The Star Wars Fan Movie Award Ceremony at San Diego Comic-Con International is always entertaining, and often studded with surprises. Each year the top prize, the George Lucas Selects Award, is chosen by Star Wars writer/director George Lucas, and finalists wait with anticipation to learn who will win industry and audience recognition, and the coveted Star Wars-themed trophies. The Movie Challenge, sponsored by Lucasfilm and Atom.com, is in its eighth year. Don’t miss the most entertaining Star Wars fan-made movies out there!

Get a sneak preview of the highly anticipated sequel, Star Wars Gangsta Rap: Chronicles, and hear about Olivia’s new fan film project (hint: it could be yours).
