For the last few years, NJOE has struggled. With a slow bleeding of members as interest in the post-Return of the Jedi era waned, combined with the exodus of several prominent members following Acky12′s “retirement” from NJOE, it’s been tough. To make matters worse, DarkJedi and I have been swamped with real-life work that hampers our ability to help NJOE grow again. But we still believe in NJOE. We hope that some of you do too. NJOE is only as strong as its members. We’ve always prided ourselves on discussion and conversation, and we’d like to return to those roots with new writers looking to lead the charge and help get us all talking again. Whether your passion is for the films, The Clone Wars, video games, books, comics or something even more obscure – you will have a home here, with a platform to discuss it.

We are looking to rebuild NJOE from (essentially) the ground up. You’ll work alongside DarkJedi and me to create a new NJOE experience, with the ability to shape this website and have your ideas and opinions heard. With a lull in major Star Wars Expanded Universe news, now is the perfect time to join our team and help make NJOE into your own, personal Star Wars experience.

We’re looking for talented individuals with a passion for Star Wars. Perhaps you’re an opinionated person, and you’d love to write a column that gets your voice and opinion into the conversation – well, we’d love to have you! Or maybe you like to review things, and would like to get early copies of various Star Wars books and comics. Or perhaps you consider yourself a social media guru, and you see the way for NJOE to expand its presence through Facebook, Twitter, and other websites. Maybe you even want to be an intrepid news reporter, compiling news and interviewing various authors. No matter what your preference, we’d love to have you aboard, where you’ll have the opportunity to work in a laid back environment while building your resume and having the option to cover various conventions (including the Star Wars Celebrations!).
