Take your pick: I am horribly irresponsible with my material wealth. I have bad luck. Actually I think it’s a mix between the two of these. In other words, any photos I shot or videos from Friday (basically me telling you guys that I missed certain things or other things that were also on Twitter) are probably gone forever. My camcorder is probably gone forever. My wallet may be gone forever. Thankfully, a lot of the footage you’re waiting on and the vast majority of the photos are on Mizz’s camera. That’s why you’re waiting- she hasn’t had a chance to start working on it yet. If you don’t want to wait for the footage from the panel, though, here’s some photos and audio that I did manage to grab before losing my camcorder of the The Clone Wars panel “Inside the Force”. Read on after the break! (Read More…)
A thousand years before Luke Skywalker, a generation before Darth Bane, in a galaxy far, far away… The Republic is in crisis, torn by plague and conflict. The Sith roam unchecked, vying with one another to dominate the galaxy. But one lone Jedi, Kerra Holt, is determined to take down the Dark Lords — one act of sabotage at a time. Her enemies are strange and many: Lord Daiman, who imagines himself the creator of the universe; Lord Odion, who intends to be its destroyer; the curious siblings Quillan and Dromika; the enigmatic Arkadia. So many warring Sith weaving a patchwork of brutality — with only Kerra Holt to defend the innocents caught underfoot. Sensing a sinister pattern in the chaos, Kerra embarks on a journey that will take her to many worlds and into fierce battles against even fiercer enemies. With one against so many, her only chance of success lies with forging alliances among those who serve her enemies — including a mysterious Sith spy and a clever mercenary general. But will they be her adversaries or her salvation? They’ve also provided the name of the cover artist: John Van Fleet, whose other covers include The New Essential Chronology, Darth Bane: Rule of Two, Star Wars: Allegiance, and Star Wars: Millennium Falcon.
Second bad news: A good 75% or so of our images and videos were recorded on a camera that I can not access without the software that comes with it. This is everything that was recorded on Mizz’s equipment, which happens to be nicer and more expensive than mine, and therefore saves in elaborate file types that actually require the computer to work to get to them. Good news: Most of what I saw is on Twitter. We have the Clone Wars panel from Friday coming on Youtube, as well as Thursday horror, Star Wars and Gamera posts coming, plus some small video updates for those too lazy to check Twitter Second Good news: Read after the break to find out more! Role-play in the Star Wars Universe can take on many forms, not just traditional role-playing games, there’s also immersive character role-play on dedicated websites, to playing with action figures, and even dressing up in themed costumes. This column will be devoted to all things role-play, from highlighting upcoming products, reviewing role-playing books, or introducing readers to websites that might be of interest to others within the community. ![]() The Star Wars Roleplaying Game Saga Edition Core Rulebook Since Wizards of the Coast (WOTC) picked up the Star Wars license back in 2000, they have made multiple rulebooks for Gamemasters and players to use. Sadly, the Star Wars license was not renewed for WOTC this year, and the company had to finally say good-bye to the Star Wars galaxy. Today at San Diego Comic Con CBR revealed Haden Blackman will be writing a Darth Vader comic for 2011!! “It chronicles one of Vader’s greatest failures ever,” the editor said.
